			Resetting a matter device and/or removing eisy's Matter Service from the Matter device may be required prior to adding the device to eisy. The same steps must also be followed if deleting the device from eisy then adding again.

			If this is a simple matter device (i.e lightbulb or switch) and the device is not linked to any other services (Apple Home/ Google Home/ MFG's app/ Thread) then a hard reset is easier.


			If this is a device which has a complicated setup (i.e. thermostat) or the device is linked to another service, then it may be easier to remove the device from eisy then remove eisy's service from another service's app.

			First delete the Matter Device from eisy if previously added, then factory reset the Matter Device. Factory Reset varies depending on MFG. Consult the MFG's documentation for factory reset.
